Art Project
2018 Postcards
At the beginning of 2018 Luisne Art Project embarked on an exciting collaborative arts and disability project. The artists from Luisne Art Project, Scannán Technologies and The Ridgepool Training Centre had a very creative year. The three groups worked closely with five experienced facilitators and staff at TACU Family Resource Centre and The Crann Mór Centre in Ballinrobe. The Postcards project, which spanned the whole of 2018 involved dance and movement workshops as well as drum workshops for all participants. These happened alongside the film making and sound track recording.
The film Postcards is about exploring one another’s strong personality traits and talking about things you come across on your travels in life that remind you of the people you know – your friends, your family, the people you work and live with.
This project received funding from Mayo Local Action Group (LAG) under the Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020. The funding made it possible to create a project that ran throughout the whole of 2018 with a continuity of various workshops that are very productive for all involved.
